Tiananmen Square is the symbol of China and the witness of Modern Chinese History, attracting the global attention. When depoliticized, it symbolizes the progress of an era.
Some works in this series were exhibited in ART EXPO NY, America and Art Metz, France in 2010.

I was born in Beijing. In my earliest memory the Tiananmen was the center of Beijing, the center of China, and at the very center of Tiananmen is the portrait of The Great Leader Chairman Mao. No matter what events unfolded before his eyes, through instability and change, the portrait of the omniscient Chairman, and the selectivity of history, eternal from great heights, has become China’s final principle of consistency.
This series of work, I love Beijing Tiananmen, suggests an attitude of anticipation and cheerfulness, that will turn the political Tiananmen into an especially tasteful and useful item for daily living becoming relaxing and fun. When ideology becomes a popular entertainment and aesthetically pleasing artwork, providing happiness for society, and expressing emotion, this reveals a nation, as a whole advancing towards democracy and confidence.
I love Beijing Tiananmen, once one of the earliest songs learned by Chinese children, is these days again a popular melody, sung with the same fervor, carrying the commercialism of our times, an international sound, as well as a unique and sincere way to express to our motherland, to Beijing and to Tiananmen, our enduring love and anticipation.
